Profile
Born in Setoda Town, Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. 33 years old. A father of two (ages 3 and 1). Hobbies include reading, photography, and watching soccer (a passionate supporter of Sanfrecce Hiroshima).
In the spring of 2014, during my fourth year of university, I started visiting Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park with the simple goal of improving my English.
At first, I spent my time folding paper cranes with tourists. However, as I listened to the stories of guides and atomic bomb survivors, I realized my ignorance. This realization pushed me to start studying and learning more about Hiroshima’s history.
As I continued to learn, I felt a growing responsibility to share what happened here. This led me to fully commit to guiding.
In 2015, after graduating from university, I chose a path that allowed me to continue guiding—working night shifts at a part-time job while dedicating my daytime hours to volunteer guiding. My activities were featured in various media outlets.
In 2018, I paused my guiding activities and took a job in the private sector.
In 2024, I resumed guiding while balancing it with my full-time job.
In 2025, I took another break from guiding due to health reasons (depression). During this time, I took the opportunity to reflect deeply on my life and what I truly want to do.
I used to work as a volunteer guide, but I have decided to work as a professional guide. I look forward to meeting you at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
